Is it delusional or is it practical?
It can be tricky when people around you don’t yet understand your personal development path.
Some people might even call you delusional when you suggest that you can see yourself already in possession of the good you desire.
Delusion is usually described as a belief held by one person that is not generally accepted as being real or rational by others.
And this is where things get tricky…
Technically, from the perspective of an outsider looking in, it appears delusional because they cannot see physical evidence of what you are believing to be true.
However, from the perspective of the one on the inside, it appears that others are blinded by the illusion of their current reality being the only available option in their life.
The truth is, both people are partially delusional. Each believes something that cannot yet be proven with physical evidence.
While one is acting as if their dream has come true, the other is acting as if their reality can never be changed.
You see, to be defined as a delusion, the person with the belief must have no conscious awareness of the difference between what is real and what is imagined.
Think about this, if a person believes they are rich when they are poor and they can’t tell the difference between their dream world and reality, they are delusional.
Equally true, if the person who calls this other person delusional believes reality cannot be changed and they cannot tell the difference between their belief and the world that actually is constantly changing around them, they are delusional too.
It is only practical when the person who is acting as if they “already are” knows the difference between what really is, and what soon will be, AND they are acting with the understanding that their imagined state will eventually become their new state of reality.
For the outsider looking in, it is only practical when they understand the world is changing all the time, and that we should respect others dreams because current reality is constantly proving that everything we have in the material world was once in the mind of a person who believed it was real before anyone else could see it.
Therefore, if you have big dreams in life, and you are told to visualize yourself and feel yourself already being in possession of the good you desire…
As long as you are able to decipher the difference between reality and fantasy, then you can use your fantasy to eventually alter reality for yourself and others around you in a practical way.
And if you happen to have a hard time seeing what someone else sees, as long as you can have faith in human being’s ability to create their own reality through creative use of imagination, you can accept them and respect them in a practical way.
You see, creating your own reality and making your dream come true is possible, and it only requires that you can SEE and FEEL yourself as if it has already happened.
It’s not about living in a delusional world. It’s about going into the future in your imagination, capturing the feeling of being in the place and then consciously bringing that feeling back to the present moment.
When I talk about acting as if you already have the good you desire, I am not talking about pretending like current reality doesn’t exist, because that would be delusional…
I am saying to CHOOSE TO FEEL like you’re already where you want to be while fully accepting your present reality for what it is.
Are things always practical? No…
Are things always rational? No…
There was a time it wasn’t practical to light up an entire city with electric light, and the idea was considered totally irrational…
In fact the inventor of the light bulb Thomas Edison was considered by many to be completely delusional.
Most great influential people often have been given the label of delusional by people who do not yet posses their level of awareness.
Most of the time it is the delusion of the many that creates the illusion of delusion of the few who move the world forward.
Keep that in mind when others doubt your ability to create your own reality.
Stick with your personal development journey.
The real delusion would be to believe that you are limited by your material existence.
You are an unlimited spiritual being.
The great illusion is that we are only what we can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch.
The truth is, we are infinite, we are universal, we are eternal, and we are powerful creators.
Remember your truth. Be consciously aware of the difference between fantasy and reality, and use your imagination to shape your own reality while knowing that everything that currently IS fact, was once a simple dream.
